I'll just leave this here...

Edit: Please watch the video before getting butthurt over it. Thank you.

If Aim Assist is the only thing that determines skill in Destiny, then give a player in the top 1% the Mida and someone in the top 90% the Mida (with its large Aim Assist stat), and see who wins. Based on this video, both would have an equal chance of winning due to there being no skill involved. However, if both players have the EXACT same weapon, then there is skill involved, because they have equal footing. Someone who had gun skill and understands how the game works in terms of maps, radar detection, super use, when to use particular weapons, and how to actually play the game, versus someone who doesn't, is going to win based on their experience and skill level, just like every other game. Not because of Aim Assist.
-
Also it's funny how you're such a hypocrite. You're using guns that do all the work for you, too, yet you are complaining saying they require no skill. You're complaining about plagues to the community like you yourself.
-
You're right it is a casual game, at least until you play ToO and IB where you have to use yr 2 gear to be a decent light to get kills.
-
so this is why everyone has been calling out for a yr2 mida....it all makes sense now ha
-
Noobs rule destiny..

Somewhat interesting Make a video with other guns and show some consistency. You have a point with the evident aim assist but you lost me when you start getting petty. You went as far as to make fun of the radar and all the other base game mechanics. Sounds like you're butt hurt over a video game. One question....if this game is so bad why are you here hosting your own personal myth busters episode? I don't like gears of war, do you see me on gears of war's forum site making videos about imbalance? Next time stick to the main point instead of bashing the game like an angry fan boy...ppl won't take you serious. I will give you credit where credit is due, it was a good video

Since everyone is on an even playing field with the same system, it does indeed require skill. If the game was XCOM, where you told the game who you want to shoot and it calculates whether you hit them or not, then there would be no shooting skill involved. (There would still be strategic and tactical skill.) But there IS dexterity and hand-eye coordination involved in playing Destiny. That's why some people are better at it than others. You're fooling yourself to think this video "proves" anything to the contrary.
-
Idiots like you are the reason perks like aim assist get nerfed...if you don't like it, then don't play...no one is forcing you to play destiny...
-
Why are you no good then?
-
OP is lettuce
-
If it requires no skill then why isn't everyone a god at the game ?
-
???? That's just the mida.... I guess nlb requires no skill either :/....
-
I thought aim assist only affected how long your scope lingered over a player, not widened hit boxes????? Are you sure this is aim assist
-
Tracking bullets.
-
Turd. Troll. Same thing.
-
Before I watch the video.... Is it just getting 9 kills in the crucible as a sunbreaker?
-
What makes me chuckle "shoots elbow=headshot"
-
That moment when people don't realize that this isn't OP's video...
-
You owe me 8 minutes of my life. Nothing new to see here. Why even bother posting this?

Hitboxes don't determine if a game is competitive or not. He had the same chance as you to land his shots but didn't. Also there is a slight delay in when the damage and bullet appear to when you pull the trigger, so that may account for some of your points. Now, I don't believe that a slightly enlarged hitbox (at that distance) really impacts the "competitiveness" of the PvP. You have to factor abilities, weapon types, etc. this also does not make PvP bad, so much as different. The entirety of it's PvP does not need to be perfect to be good, it just must be good enough. Maybe for you this is a huge problem, but for most of us your "revelation" has not compelled is to quit PvP.

Edited by Talk2MeToner: 11/7/2015 6:38:28 AMI agree that's why everyone who takes PVP seriously in this game is a joke... The game should be fully PVE focused with an open world PVP with very little worry around it. Make a hostile zone on patrol, you enter if you wanna fight others, occasional rewards drop from kills, no weapon balancing screwing up PVE weapons, way more time to make raids, etc

"Hey YouTube, it's ya boy...." Stopped watching.

Every console shooter is like this... Can't tell you how many times I would clearly miss a snipe in cod but it would just give me the kill. Plus, it does this for everyone, so everyone has kinda the same advantage... Kinda evens the playing field..

I hate the aim assist not because of people that only get me because of it but the way it stuffs up my shots mostly in pve but still in pvp too
