It is Bungie's game economy they do reserve the right to do what they want. If you don't like it complain and they will look into it, which Bungie did and they are fixing it. That's how persistent online games work. "Omg he only has 1600 weapon parts left we need to do something" this was a small joke you want to blow up for no reason. It's a weekly update they don't all have to be filled with crazy info they are just a weekly news letter to let you know what they have going on at the time.
