Idk the way he makes the end sounds as if Riot knows the player base could ruin the game unless Heroes of Nurwen is a good game..?

Either way, he did not use disdain correctly. He says that Riot treats their players with disdain knowing that the player base could turn them into Heroes of Nurweth (a bad game apparently). This does not make sense, no reasonable company would treat their players disdainfully if they rely on them to keep the game in a good state.

Can you explain the last half of the paragraph for me? Why would Riot treat their fan base with disdain if they know they could turn them into Heroes of Nurweth?
