Day 1 on Destiny, I looked for the "Turn aim assist off" option. For the life of me, I don't understand why this is not in the game.

I think you missed the targeted market for this average game. Casuals. Aim Assist galore.
-
Full disclosure, I am the very definition of casual gamer when it comes to Destiny PvP. Back in the day, though, I was very aggressive and competitive. But that was when Xbox live started. Back when Ghost Recon was relevant and before everyone was trying to get their 15 minutes of fame on YouTube with a COD clip. Nowadays, I'm much more laid back about it. And through it all, I've always maintained this one philosophy. People who can aim, don't need aim assist. I would gladly welcome the option to turn it off.

You mean teens Because the game is rated teen
-
No he means people with little time to dedicate to a game
-
I know what he means but People with having little time doesn't effect needing aim assist and hit boxes. But a teen rating does Catering to a younger demographic means making things easier. Do you think a 12 year old has the same reaction speed as an 18 year old?
-
Of course not, the 12 year old is better. And in the background you can hear him screaming about chocolate milk.

I know right! I thought it was a standard in video games too! apparently not.
