I have this feeling that they're going to wait until 99% of people have dismantled all their year 1 gear for weapon parts & armor materials, then release a consumable to upgrade them. Essentially forcing everyone to regrind for their favorite year 1 gear all over again. It would return interest to the old raids and make the game seem much bigger without adding any new content. Idk why I haven't seen more people talking about this. I only have my Ghost Angel Cloak, Fatebringer, and Gjally left in my vault, and I'm willing to bet many Destiny vets have even less than that left with the current weapon part shortage. Maybe they decreased the number of weapon parts given when dismantling to almost force people into purging their remaining year 1 gear if they wanted to upgrade the new stuff, which I'm sure many people, including myself, did. Basically expediting the process to allow for year 1 infusion by the holidays.

 • At least there is some year one crap that can be revived with the price of some materials at a kiosk

I'll wait for their sneaky decision to pull that stunt.

As much as that prospect pisses me off, I have to admit, it'd be a damn effective strategy. >.>

 • I mean.. After the shit they've pulled would you put it past them? I just can't give them the benefit of the doubt.

 • I wouldn't put it past them, no. Still, if that is the plan, at least I'll be able to bring back all my favorite gear...? XS
