How do people take offense at that? Wow.
Yes, they know there is a weapons part shortage (because they listen to the forums), yes, they've finally corrected that oversight that should have been fixed soon after TTK launch but how did Deej's joke about weapon parts cause such upset? I've been struggling for weapon parts but still found it pretty funny.
I don't think you get Bungie's sense of humour and are probably new here.

They aren't even really fixing the weapons parts nerf, btw. They are letting you buy them with glimmer, they aren't increasing the drops from weapons to what they used to be. It's plain disrespectful for them to significantly reduce a steady currency, that has been out since the game was released. This was done for no reason other than to increase our grind. People realize this, have an issue. What's the response? A taunting from the community manager in weekly update. I'm not offended whatsoever by what he says, it just 110% exemplifies the destiny experience, and why Bungie has proven themselves to be an absolutely horrendous developer. They say they reserve the right to adjust to change economy as they see fit, yet they don't have the slightest idea what they are doing.

Tensions are high, it was inappropriate to make a joke at this point. Especially as he's posting how he's about to go on vacation in the middle of three serious forms of competition. Overall, I think they need to be more transparent and honest. But we're just getting teased, again.

How much longer are they going to reaffirm that they have absolutely no sense of what they are doing? It was just such horrible timing to be making a "joke" like this (exactly the same as throwing money at the screen, as others have mentioned). It's not like Bungie has bent over backwards for us with this game and are doing everything they can to make this game am enjoyable experience. Like they've done everything else absolutely flawless, except this one thing. If that were the case, no one would have an issue of a little ribbing in the weekly update. It's just piss poor timing and backs up what the forums have erupted with over the past several weeks; they are absolutely inept at what they are currently doing.
