Allergic to shotguns?
Lol come on really? Stop complaining about shotguns. They are not op and I keep seeing people posting about it.They took away shot package and blink is less obnoxious now so why all the fuss? You have to be in very close proximity to kill someone and on top of that you usually have to follow up with a punch. I know you like to hang back with snipers toasting marshmallows while you camp... Others would rather be in your face. Its all preference. Also lets not forget about lag that may also be playing a big part in your frustrations. One more thing shotguns are not overused just not a lot of other choices besides a sniper. Thanks for reading.

2 RepliesHonestly, if bungie wants to "fix" shotguns then they just need to remove them. The point of a shotgun is to blow someone away at close range. The game is as balanced as it's ever been. Hand cannons and auto rifles and fusions need the tiniest buff ever and it will be completely balanced. Well handcannons maybe need a little more than a tiny buff. But it's still closer than it's ever been

3 RepliesI agree with several others on here, when you can easily run around with a shotgun and not worry about most other weapons then that becomes a problem. Shotguns are special weapons for SPECIAL occasions but people use them as primaries. High risk high reward is what they are supposed to be but low risk high reward is what they are. A brute addition to a melee is what they are supposed to be more like... Something to complement melees. But one shot kill from close to mid range is what they currently are. Lastly this post reminds me when people were trying to argue about how fair and balanced Thorn was lol.

1 ReplyWorth noting, hunters can still blink shotgun, they have QuickDraw as a class perk (it should be on gunslinger). They can also shade step circles around you and shotgun you in the face.

7 RepliesNice party crashers on your Hunter and Titan. Also nice Strongbow on your Warlock. The bias is strong with this one. Shotguns like Party Crasher and Conspiracy Theory with rangefinder and rifled barrel shouldn't exist. Those shotguns are OP.

2 RepliesI can respect a skillful shotgun user, even if it pisses me off to no end. lol What was Bungie thinking when they made Conspiracy Theory - D a Quest reward? Shadestep+Shotgun combo is my absolute least favorite. x__x I just wish Fusion Rifles and Sidearms were more effective at countering them. I know my Sniper certainly isn't cut out for it, and I'm curious to switch it up and try a new, more mid-range approach. Though nothing feels quite so satisfying as sniping off one of the enemy group at the Control Zone/Heavy Box... With Hereafter. Yeah, I'm THAT asshole. I personally don't like to use shotguns because I play far too conservatively. Except as a Defender Titan. #ComeAtMeBro

1 ReplyI'm allergic to them! I wont use them in pvp and i really dont like them in pve because of the risk/reward they offer is terrible on bosses compared to fusion rifles with range and snipers. I don't care if people use them, they are there for a reason and all weapons are an option no matter how horrible they are or how amazing they are..

1 ReplyAgreed. Too much bitching. As a crucible player all I used was sniper at first and hated shotguns. Then I started using shotguns because I rerolled one 40 times to try and get shot package because a friend said I should try it. I get it and start using it. Hated it but then obviously started getting better with it. Everything in the game requires skill. There's not one person in the world who can go from never playing to crucible with any type of gun and start being awesome. It's impossible. Everyone talks about "have you ever even used a sniper?" How about "have you ever used a shotgun in real life?" Of course it's gonna kill you in one hit. Here's an idea, don't run right up to people who have a shotgun if you don't wanna die in one shot. Overpowered and need to be nerfed? What a joke. The range on shotguns are already nerfed. Have any of you even been hunting before? If anything needs to be nerfed it's that damn hammer of sol. That's just my opinion though. Everyone will disagree on everything and that's cool but bungie is listening to the wrong people on the wrong areas of the game. Stop coddling 12 year olds who play and complain online and start putting in useful things to make the game have replay value. I love all of you though. Keep doing you.

1 ReplyThey removed shot package but not range finder. There is a shotgun (conspiracy theory-D) that everyone gets with rangefinder along the vanguard quests. Also people can just run around with a shotgun and get loads of kills.

5 RepliesEvery single shotgun except for one in the game is balanced. Conspiracy Theory D. It's got high impact and base range. It's also given from an easy quest with rangefinder and rifled barrel, maxing out the range. That thing needs to be edited. Not shotguns in general, just that one.
