Let's take the emotional part out and look at this objectively. Deej acted unprofessionally. Anyone dealing with customers day in and day out knows the importance of composure.
Over the years, I've had to eat a lot of shit from customers and grin. I don't retort with condescending or cynical remarks. That's how you lose the higher moral ground. Soon after, you start to lose customers.
So when I read Deej's backhanded acknowledgement of the mistake in the game's economy, I could only shake my head in disappointment. This is who Bungie hired to represent them to the community. Their fan base.
It's not about hurt feelings or thin skin. It's about expectations of professionalism from the community manager. Deej fell short this time.
