Who really founded America...
It's time to tell all of you kiddos the truth behind America and it's close cousin, Canada...who really founded them? Here's the answer..

Edited by OurWildebeest: 11/8/2015 4:24:07 PMDespite some minor caveats (some early settlers came to America to deliberately leave British society, mainly over religious freedom issues), it is of course true that Britain founded the colonies that later became the states. Of course, they didn't found the United States, so depending what you mean by "America", there is another quibble. Much of Canada's population comes from U.S. loyalists fleeing the rebellion, BTW.
