The problem with them saying "over time" is that eventually that gear wont be viable anymore, so we want as much time as we can for what will be "current" to be viable. I have no doubt that they will pull a repeat of the year 1 to year 2 change with exotics with the change from year 2 to year 3, if not worse than they did, considering that it is speculated that year 3 will simply be Destiny 2, in which case them leaving all previous exotics behind wouldn't surprise me. I think it would have better for them to have released the full content of TTK instead of giving it in pieces.
I understand the feel of adding DLC to a base game to make it better or at least have more, but there is no reason to add parts of a DLC to said DLC after its out. It feels like a ridiculous thing to do, really. Adding DLC gave a game more content, but it seems silly to add more content to the additional content that was meant to originally have that added content. Like adding DLC to a DLC. At first we bought whole games, and now we buy whole games (for the most part) with extra DLC, which is fine. Whats not fine is buying that DLC and not getting the whole package i just bought; Its just strange. I bought A,B, and C, then decided to add in the D,E and F package bundle - but F isnt available yet, and E is only partially given to me.
