You are largely wasting your time only playing Trials for the bounties. The drop rates of good gear is a LOT lower than last year because the tiers are no longer tied to win streaks. Silver and Gold do have a chance at exotics but it's as bad as the Crux of Crota or worse.

I did get 1 exotic gauntlets for silver tier, kinda nice but probably won't use them lol
