Totally wild and unsupported conspiracy theory that randomly hit me: with all the "Destiny is dead" threads, what if the exotics are time locked (in the case of the new Y2 ones), and some old ones are not brought over yet because bungie saw these new games coming and just held these exotics back so we would want to come back to get them?

With each expansion they release, 90% of the people that "quit" will come back and buy it, in addition to shit tons of new players. Christmas is almost here. Can add another shit ton of new players for that. Destiny is not, nor has it ever, nor will it ever die. At least for the next 8 years. Just think about that. 25,000,000 multiplied by at least $100 per person. In addition to the Eververse money. To say they are doing "quite well for themselves" is an understatement.
