It's like you've never played any kind of mmo before, which is what destiny is trying to do sort of. New xpac, new gear, new grind, old stuff useless. I just don't get why people are so upset about the way mmos have worked for the last 20 years. It may not be great but it's what's out there..And the plus side you're not paying $15/month to grind...

Because there's nowhere near enough content to justify the complete invalidation of Year One, nor are there Vanity slots or Transmog.

Actually I have played MMO:s a lot. In Mmorpg you have the basic game that gets you, lets say to level 200. Then you get expansion that has lvl 200-220 monsters, so newcomers need to grind to level 200 before even trying the expansion. Then another expansion comes with 220-240 monsters... This way the feel of progression is there. In destiny there is no such feels.

I agree, there isn't enough to do, don't forget that in most mmo you have the crafting system so you can also create your own weapons/armor etc. Destiny is trying to do those things it's just not there yet its like an mmo light:) I'm just surprised people are so freaked out about the grind and useless armor, it's nothing that hasn't been done before. I will say that it is the best feeling, imho, shooter I've ever played. I would love to see this shooter with the world of WoW around it, explore all those worlds and all those levels while playing a shooter this good would be amazing.
