It's understandable, I have a long tattoo on my forearm, and placement of that tattoo, especially as it gets closer to the wrist appears to curve very slightly. Sometimes I suppose it can't be helped. I think part of the reason is because my forearm was "at rest" on like an armchair type of thing, which just appears differently if you were not letting it lean on anything.
