Agree wholeheartedly. Why do the raid tomorrow at all when all my characters are 315. Hope that the 4-6 hours needed to complete it on all three is going to get me drops between 315-320? I would be playing for such a small percentage of light increase for hours worth of my time. For what? I have beaten hard mode on every character since inception. So why would I need to be 318 on all characters? Doesn't affect any aspect of it. And to the OP's point, getting higher light isn't going to affect the rest of the game. Did Trials this weekend and plenty of guys were below 300 and did just fine. Nightfall is pointless unless 320 gear is an option as well for the more advanced light level player. This whole setup is a very unrewarding experience.
