I thought the idea of being a minuteman was cool so I helped them out. Helping them pays off later. It lead me to my HQ settlement and boy. Is it badass.

I just cleared that settlement out before I got off. I didn't see many rooms or anything. Is there a whole inside to the building??? Didn't get much to loot

There's three rooms in each corner of the walls. Along with little storage like areas and a medical station in the walls. A basement, but you can't go into building mode down there, it's more used for a quest later. And then there's the armory which you gain access to later, I think you may just have to wait a few days and then the person will show up to start the quest.
