Square Up
Training Bay: Cyprus Cruiser
The first mech gave out with a forlorn groan, the joints in its legs forcibly ripped out. A marine crawled out of the hatch and scampered to safety, but his opponent gave him no notice. The remaining two mechs stood at an impressive 7 meters, armed with steel bastard swords attached to their left extremity, and a repulser cannon on their right. Ginger, in stark comparison, was relatively lightly armored, and armed only with his gauntlets and boots. Though the mechs represented foes with superior strength, their main purpose was to protect the marines inside from undue injury while fighting him, a fact he was all too happy to exploit.
The first Mech approached him rapidly, and slammed it's sword on the ground where he stood but milliseconds before as he sidestepped the blow. The other mech began circling behind him, like a bird of prey waiting for the right moment to strike. Ginger nearly blocked a punch by using his repulsers to counteract the blow, and then grabs on to its fist and scampers on. With only his fists, he couldn't hope to break the hull of the shielded mech, but that wasn't his plan. He extended his legs, activating his anti-gravity boots as he does so, and begins swinging the mech around with them by pulling on different surfaces. Slowly, his mech begins inching closer to the other mech, which begins swinging its sword in a lopsided eight formation menacingly. When he got close enough, Ginger dropped down closer to the center of the mech, making himself a prime target for the other mech, which aggressively stabbed at him. The stab pierced the hull of his mech, which began to topple, and from there he leapt off of its corpse, thrusters, and punched the other mech hard enough to knock it down.
Strangely enough, it wasn't until he was leaving to exit when he realized that something had been watching him

Jace had been watching from the sidelines Uh... Um.... Damn. The InfoNet really doesn't do you guys justice, does it?
-
He wipes some dust off, "Eh, there was one really badass holo-drama of us. I could show you, if you're up for it."
-
Sure, why not. Got nothing better to do at the moment.
-
As the two of you watch the movie in the War Room, Ginger points out a few things, "If the graphics were so good, why couldn't they make me look better?" "See that guy? That's your brother's man-crush, Python, before he was a Genesis. Kinda wimpy, huh?" "That woman right there is named Zara... I totally hit that." "I'm... I'm not proud of what just happened." "I don't ever remember getting my room blown up... Wait... Oh yeah." "They didn't know any of our names, so they gave us codenames in the movie." "That was a reference to the Dojo... But that's another film." "That's Phantom, the dude who kicked your ass. Believe it or not, he used to be even more arrogant... And badass." Until finally, the credits began to roll. "So, what'd you think? I'd give it a good 9.3/10."
-
From the files we recovered from you old base, and from what the Scouter I got told me, you tried to hit that, but failed multiple times. Second, graphics will only make you look worse if enhace. Trust me on that one. Third, the hell is a Dojo? Fourth, I was fighting the Dread when everyone got their asses kicked, thankfully. Overall, I'd say this is a 8.9.
-
Ginger gives you a deadpan look before he starts laughing, "You certainly have Phantom's wit, I'll give you that. You're a good debater."
-
Thanks. Not everyone appreciates it here though. Listen, I've been meaning to ask... He takes a DataChip out of one of his pouches I thought you gave up on the Galaxy. Atleast, it seemed that way in this.
-
He doesn't even miss a beat when he responds, "False trail, for anyone snooping around this area after the team broke up. I wanted to remain unknown, so I did so in plain sight while you searched in the shadows."
-
Pretty smart idea.... But what were you searching for? Did you find it?
-
This time he hesitates, and you can almost see his mind churning as he thinks of a response, "I don't think that I ever will, so in that sense yes, I have."
-
What? How haven't you found, but at the same time you have?
-
"I've been reading some metaphorical shit recently, so cut me some slack. It makes sense if you think about it..." He waits, "Does it make sense now?"
-
Joshua is leaning against a wall, flipping a coin. "Aren't you the entertainer."
-
He smirks and replies "Are you not entertained?"
-
"Oh I very much am."
-
Cygnus stands by the doorway, watching with an unreadable expression.
-
Ginger wipes a bead of sweat off of his face, and then looks over at Cygnus, "Like what you saw?"
-
"Well...remind me not to get on your bad side."
-
He nods "I'll keep that in mind."
-
"Indeed."
-
The man from before, Cypher, sits watching
-
He looks over at the man, recognizing him from earlier, "You wanna give them a go? I'm sure they wouldn't mind winning for once."
-
I wouldn't mind losing, I would get experience
-
"That's the spirit. You'd have to use a simulation though, while these mechs get repaired. That alright?"
-
Fine What is it?
