I think this will open more opportunities for a more enriched story and overall game itself the teen rating limits the amount of creativity the game developers can implement into the game which I think is also a big factor to why destiny's story is so lacklustre. Hopefully they realise their mistake and make destiny 2 mature rated, I also want to state that the teen rating isn't why the story isn't so good, bungie slack of storytelling and cut out content may be a factor to why the story is bad as well, though improved in TTK it's still not good.

Edit: blood and gore doesn't make a game 18 rated it's much more than just swearing and blood.

I hope they can eventually recreate the same feeling of terror you got fighting the Flood. Those were the good ol' days. I would flinch every time the floor squeaked during CE's swamp level.
-
Crack ho moms will still buy it for their offspring as a substitute for the parenting they should be doing. Just look at all the wasted little lives on GTA.
-
Well technically speaking that's not usually how that works. They might try and keep a certain rating in mind and cut out things as they go along but mostly games are just designed freely and THEN given a rating. Which is why a good number of games now a days have M ratings.
-
I wish we could get a few scenes of a guardian in a brutal fight so it actually feels like a fight to survive rather than a fight to keep playing. Personally thing that a cool addition would be something like the assassinations animations in halo depending on your class or something. Thats just my opinion though

There is no story it would affect

I wanna ask the Queen for a date.

I want. My Titan. To break. An Ogre's neck.

You mean 17+, but yeah

Bump for later please reply.

Edited by brose one: 11/12/2015 1:13:53 AMStar Wars (PG) vs. Terminator (R) -- Halo (T) vs. Gears of War (M) -- bad language and gore = lazy writing.
-
People are saying yes, but in reality it won't change the game or even make it better. More language and blood doesn't make the game automatically better.
-
Well with parenting theses days, M rating won't stop the squeekers
-
Guys, M rated doesn't mean blood and gore and all that, it just means it may have more complex scenarios or themes that younger audiences might not understand, I'll still buy Destiny 2 anyways.
-
This game needs to be a little more gritty for it to be more interesting.
-
Do you squeakers? Because that's how you get squeakers.
-
What needs to happen is for Bungie to give up support for the welfare consoles.

Edited by Bugatti Boy: 11/12/2015 2:10:03 AMI remember BungieVi$ion was going to make the Traveler the main bad guy, but for some reason, betrayal wouldve made the game rated M. Because logic. Edit; lets see some plot twists!
-
Oh fuсk off come on >:(
-
If they would actually go for a deep, complex and interesting story so it can be rated 18+ then go for it. But I doubt it will happen, if it does it will alienate a big chunk of Desticles.
-
Honestly I dont see the difference in changing the rating, only the gore would change. Blood does not equal 11/10 ign storymode
-
And then an assload of 12 year olds will start playing that. Then they'll start thinking they're the shit because they play an m rated game
much like COD and GTA
-
It doesn't matter. Today's parents don't care that their kid is playing an 18 rated game. Look at cod. There are more under18 ur olds that play that game than over. I'd love to see destiny be an 18, and actually stick to it, but it won't happen so it don't matter.
-
Yes. The rating isn't going to push kids away from it anyway. All it's doing is removing limits. Even if it's only gore and cursing at least we know that Bungie had no limitations and have no excuse for half-assed crap
-
Why does changing it from T to M change the story? Adding blood, gore and cursing doesn't make a difference in the story.
-
Give it an AO rating. I want to murder Fallen/Cabal Children.
