I think this will open more opportunities for a more enriched story and overall game itself the teen rating limits the amount of creativity the game developers can implement into the game which I think is also a big factor to why destiny's story is so lacklustre. Hopefully they realise their mistake and make destiny 2 mature rated, I also want to state that the teen rating isn't why the story isn't so good, bungie slack of storytelling and cut out content may be a factor to why the story is bad as well, though improved in TTK it's still not good.

Edit: blood and gore doesn't make a game 18 rated it's much more than just swearing and blood.

Give it an AO rating. I want to murder Fallen/Cabal Children.
-
Doesn't make difference parents buy gta and cod for kids so it doesn't make a difference
-
-
18+ is AO
-
Just being rated M won't make the story better. CoD: Ghosts for example.

Ace combat 5 os rated T. There's a lot of story there, tear jerking moments, and fun gameplay. Battlefront 2 is rated T, and it went in depth to the happenings of the 501st legion in a fun and interesting way. Halo wars is rated T. Though the story wasn't 100% amazing, it wasn't held back by its rating and had a lot of interesting points. Wing commander prophecy is rated T. Not only did it have an interesting story, but the mechanics of the game changed based on your choices and in-game performance (watch your best friend become one of your best wingmen as you push back the enemy, or watch him disown you because your a failure and no one wants to fly with you. Didn't help all of those damaged fighters as they limped back to your carrier? Hope you can pick up the slack if your carrier comes under attack). It's not the rating that's the deciding factor of what you can do with a story (unless you need sex, torture, drunks, or ticker Tuesday to be part of the story), it's being willing to put out the effort to write a story. Just because a game is T, doesn't mean that it can't have a good story. Just as a game rated M or 18+ doesn't mean it'll have a better story if it has one at all. Destiny could have had (past tense. It's taken a year for anything close to a narrative, so an actual story at this point may cause panic as it breaks or disproves theories that people are so willing to come up with for intentionally vague or misleading back stories that aren't actually found in the game) a story, but the effort wasn't there. Maybe it was at some point, but we didn't get to see that effort.

Edited by eShronk: 11/12/2015 1:07:11 AMHeck no. An alian game M?? Also just cause you add blood and cussing doesn't make the game have a better story stupid
-
Yes, I agree, now hopefully we can get the story line to be as good, and as long as Halo's
-
When I voted for this I thought you mean like adding a mature story, not just adding blood and gore...
-
Considering kids in my 3rd grade class played GTA, I don't think a letter on a box is going to keep moms from buying a game for their kids.
-
Mature rating is 17+. AO is 18+. Your telling me you want destiny 2 to be an AO game? ...yea good luck with that...
-
Be honest, what parents do you know that actually give a shit about the m rating
-
Edited by blacksteez: 11/12/2015 12:43:43 AMas long as the swearing isnt like bf3's (yelling -blam!- every other sentence is quite annoying) and gore isn't unnecessary
-
I mean, im not against language, but damn, the story is so fücking bad it could use shit like that.
-
If only..
-
Sorry guys. Destiny ia a kiddes and will never come close to a real FPS

Edited by Sobieske: 11/11/2015 11:52:22 PMIm all for it tbh.
many of these younger guys are extremely obnoxious and immature. Crude and pointless or flat out annoying remarks. Lack of patience. Etcetera.
-
No matter what the hell the rating is it wont stop these annoying squeakers from playing it.
-
Activision won't allow it
-
the higher the rating, the younger the audience.
-
The 23% is kids
-
M rated is swear words, nudity and sexual themes, and swear words all of which Destiny doesn't really need.
-
Never happen, in fact I think destiny 2 will still be on last gen systems.
-
We already have the dik wall so do it
-
18+ will should provide enhanced cutscenes and unique actions.
Insert Le Lenny Face
