Never happen, in fact I think destiny 2 will still be on last gen systems.

I'm pretty sure they are going to phase out last gens for Destiny 2.

Microsoft probably wants to make money as well. They tell bungie they can't have the licenses for destiny 2 on 360 and last ten users are forced to buy the new Xbox in turn
