In Australia the only halos that have the M equivalent is 1,2 and reach even the MCC that contains some of those got your PG13 rating.

Halo was always rated M until 5 and the M rated ones were mostly better.

I never realized that. I only played the first 2 & always thought it was family friendly. main reason I was interested in Destiny was the T rating.

Lols. I've ignored ESRB ratings since I started gaming. They're for lazy parents who can't teach a child that shooting up places isn't okay because it's in a game or movie.
