Opinions on best weapons to specialise in. I'm thinking pistols and rifles but could do with people's thoughts.

There's good weapons in all the categories just matters which ones fit you the best

Wait until you get "Righteous Authority" from Paladin Danse. It's an amazing Laser weapon. Trust me.

I like gunslinger with maxed out 10mm

It's hard to not love jetpack power armour and rocket launchers It's almost like playing as a solly eagle again.

Where did you get the jet pack for Power Armor?

You can build it OR [spoiler]the BoS gives it to you after the main quest[/spoiler] That lets you skip having to have the requirements and just instantly put it on. Also, they give you the medic pump which is pretty cool.

I'm primarily a rifles guy. I enjoy the ballistics and feel of real bullets being fired. I use some pistols, but mainly bolt action rifles, assault rifles, or shotguns.

autos and rifles for sure. Pistols eh.

I don't waste my time with auto rifles... Use too much ammo

I would in this game, the shooting isn't as good as a traditional shooter so, at least for me, it is hard to get used to using single shot, bolt action fifles well. Auto rifles and shotguns have a spray and pray aspect that works well for this game. Plus, you have the advantage of later on in the game swimming in a ton of extra ammo for each weapon.

I felt the aiming is super easy. The scopes and head shots are easy to work with.

Rifles... Combined with stealth for multiplier. Finished the entire valentine quest one shorting everybody. I cannot imagine how powerful I will be once I max out my stealth, rifles and add more powerful mods to my weapons. After this mission I turned that rifle into a medium scope sniper! My 10 mm is back up for close quarters or my shotgun
