The U.S. Isn't doing enough about ISIS. When Trump said "I'll bomb the shit out of them", what he said, all be the wording, is what needs to happen. We need to do to ISIS what we did in Vietnam. I'd gladly sign up to do it, but I'm 16, so I'm unable to join the armed forces. EDIT: Apparently now they've told Russia they're next. Hopefully Putin won't -blam!- around. EDIT 2: Let me clarify my statement about Vietnam. The decisions on the ground were terrible. I was talking about all the bombing that was done. The Gulf War is a better example of what I'm thinking.

  • Still not enough, and the attacks today are evidence. The U.S. Has the largest Military budget in the world, though you wouldn't guess by our current involvement in fightin ISIS

  • It's a tough balancing act, we have to do enough to be effective but not so much that we simply redo Iraq and Afghanistan and create another, worse enemy. How should we fight the Hydra that is Islamic terrorism?

  • Get out of the region for good. Issue a statement "look some of our past leaders have made regrettable decisions leading to innocent lives being lost, we apologize for that. We will not be involved in any political activity in an middle-eastern country from here on out. However, any terrorist attack on U.S. Soil from this day forward will be reciprocated 100 times over: for every attack confirmed to be led by Muslim extremists we will drop a hydrogen bomb on one of the most populated cities in the middle-east. Innocent lives need not be lost on either side." Thank god I'm not a world leader we'd all be fighting super mutants in the wasteland...

  • Because your people are against another Iraq war. But this time it is different, even Russia wants them dead. There has to be maximum ground forces from each country, all our war. It sounds so over the top but nothing less will take them down. We need to crush them now as they have lost a bit of momentum

  • We've been at war for 14 years. We're allowed to be tired of it.

  • Lost momentum? This has only boosted their spirits. They did what they wanted to do. They've proved it can be done, and they plan on doing it again.

  • They have lost momentum, they have been losing ground and chatter of their radio suggests they are killing this members who flee from the Kurds or other opposing forces. Domestic terrorism is another matter, because they are hiding within laws of Liberty which needs to change. Just because they can catch people off guard like this, doesn't mean they are strong, it's shows they are scared of having a weak image and they needed to do something drastic. There will be more attacks now, I'm sure if it.

  • I'm not arguing about more attacks. The UK and Germany are next, trust me.

  • Didn't Japan swear they'll never forgive Isis?

  • So, completely underestimate our enemy and their abilities? Make terrible tactical decisions just to avoid getting the American public angrier? Vietnam should NEVER be a model for how wars should be fought. Unless it's what not to do.

  • Russia already have problems with domestic terrorism, this kind of thing happens to them a lot more than what it does here.

  • Nah, Trump will be too busy building that way. We don't need to bomb them in other countries if we build a giant wall so they can't get in, in the first place.

  • That won't be enough. We need to build a wall so big not even air from other countries can get in

  • Technically it wasn't even a war. And I'm not talking about our ground strategy, I agree, that was shit. I should have clarified that I was talking about our heavy use of bombing.

  • That didn't work either....what's bombing a grass hut gonna do? They will rebuild in a couple of hours. Same with Isis, I guarantee that they use guerilla tactics and large scale bombing runs don't do anything against an enemy that knows their environment. It's why operation rolling thunder dropped tons and tons of bombs and almost no real progress to show for it. It's easy to rebuild a hut or divert a trail into the jungle.

  • More like the Gulf War. Tactical bombings

  • I forgot about the Gulf War. Yeah, those tactics would work well. They told Russia they're next, and I know Putin won't -blam!- around with them. He's already done more to combat ISIS than the U.S.
