Can we please not argue about religion, gun laws, or border control, and just have a moment of silence for those lost?

 • The time to act is now, if we just sit here and be all sad something just like this will happen again somewhere else

 • There's a difference between inaction and saying, you know what would fix this? More/less guns or killing every Muslim.

 • So don't do anything while another one is about to happen? Shut up?

 • No there's a difference between finding solutions and saying dumb shit like "if someone had a gun, it wouldn't happen" that's not coming up with solutions that's just flexing ones hindsight.

 • Solution is to get guns so it wouldn't happen again

 • But that's not a guarantee. Shootings happen all over America and lots of us have guns. They don't all happen at schools, that movie theater in Colorado (a red state) should have had someone with a gun. Did they stop it in any way shape or form? Nope. Just because a gun is present doesn't mean it will even be used. People discussed how bad the security was at the concert and that armed security guards should have been present. Metal detectors should have been there. Now France realizes this and will almost guaranteed make the steps necessary to make venues like that much safer. Saying a gun in there would solve everything is rather a small way to look at this.

 • First off he went to a gun free theater miles from his home, when there were 3 other theaters closer, but they didn't ban guns on premises. Second, who was called to stop these guys after all this started? Alot of people with guns.

 • Guns are discouraged in America.

 • Not by the majority they aren't. Considering they have never been outlawed shows the majority want them. Most Americans at least tolerate guns, very few actually completely oppose them.
