I picked up Fallout 4 for Xbox One today, and i'm just about to leave the vault (i think), do you have any tips for a beginner? I've never played a Fallout game before.

You don't need to just follow the markers and play objective to objective. Join factions, do side quest, explore, etc. It increases replayablity, fun, you will also level up faster and find more secrets that you would never normally find.

Edited by S0da Bomb250: 11/22/2015 7:49:09 PMThe glowing sea is a pretty cool place to find cool stuff (southwest corner of the map). Just be higher level with a hazmat suit, power armor, and lots of stimpacks, rad-x, and Radaway

The Glowing Sea is in the SW corner.

If u want to level up fast find tough enemy's set the difficulties to very easy and then when there about to die switch to very hard

I have so many tips but I'm too lazy to type them out.

Don't sprint in power armor. It drains your power core faster than anything.

-Join Brotherhood -Save a lot -Fast travel is your friend -Always pick up Junk, and remember to "tag for search" -Gain a lot of Companions (I already have Codsworth, Piper, Dogmeat, Paladin Danse, Deacon, Cait, Strong, and I'm currently with Nick Valentine)

Edited by RanGuy: 11/15/2015 5:58:00 PMWhat's tag for search mean?
-
When you're missing a material, at the workbench it says what you're missing, so you can "tag for search", so when you find junk that has that material in it, it has a magnifying glass icon next to it. It's very helpful for me

Very cool

Save your game frequently. The Quicksave option is super handy and fast. I literally probably use it every 60 seconds. (You'll understand why after you play a while :P crap happens!)
-
Yes once you leave get dog meat go back to the vault and tell him to fetch the gun inside the case it's a glitch and it will start you off with a super op weapon
-
With no ammo...
-
It comes with 200 ammo. It's in dogmeat's inventory.
-
You can buy it and pretty sure there are tons of cap glitches
-
You can change the difficulty at any time. Running away is a valid option. Loot dead people, take everything, then transfer to a work station when you get there. Watch your inventory, you carry too much it makes you really slow. A companion can carry things for you First chance you get use a level up point under the perk that allows you to salvage more ammo in the wasteland.

Don't wonder too far off at first bc at low level u will get ur ass handed to you and def do the first mission in concord
-
If you play at a high difficulty, try to conserve ammo.
