Gunsmith Selling Weapon Parts Bad Idea
Having gunsmith sell weapon parts is a bad fix
Really, just un-nerf the parts drop rate
Here's what will happen as soon as the update
Everyone will glimmer farm for a day
Buy 1/4 million weapon parts
Weapon parts will effectively be out of the economy till Destiny 2, no one will ever need them
Clearly I'll do this and be happy for it
Hooray the parts shortage is over! Thanks Banshee!
But from a longer term grind/game balance perspective its dumb to cut factors out of the economy

Why does it matter if weapon parts are over abudant, it affects nothing having as many as you want. Just 1 less thing to grind for which is a huge positive

I have never been short on weapons parts since I started playing this game on Day 1. At the moment I have about 1,500 weapons parts. I have NEVER even thought about weapons parts. It hasn't negatively affected my experience in this game. If Banshee sells them and nobody ever has to think about them again, it won't hurt their experience either.

Yeh but have you noticed they stealth nerfed glimmer? They give with one hand and take with another.

Better everyone has way too many than no one has enough. All a lack of parts does is force you to grind more. There's no skill involved.

5 RepliesHave you tried glimmer farming lately? Good luck with that, glimmer earnings have been capped. And knowing bungie, it will probably be 5000 glimmer for 20 weapon parts or less.
