He steps through to greet her.
"Things seem to be looking up for you, eh? Wish I could have been there to see this happen but... I've had my own things to take care of..."
He seems to be clutching the left side of his chest for some reason.

"What this?" He moves his arm slightly, just barely revealing a nasty looking wound in his chest. It seemed to be pulsating some sort of dark energy. Whatever it was, it didn't look good. "It's nothing... I'm fine..."

"It doesn't look good, should I have someone look at it?"

"I said I'm [b][i]fine![/i][/b]" Suddenly, a short burst of dark energy shot out around Dante. The floor around him cracked, and he fell to his knees. "Ngh.... Damnit... I'm sorry..."

[b]xerox crouches down by him[/b] "That's bad..... You're being corrupted by the darkness....."

"Heh... Suspected as much... What the hell kinda weapon did that knucklehead make?"

"Who made? Are you talking about the person who caused this?"

"Yeah... My brother Vergil... He did something to his sword..."

Dante takes one of the glasses and sloshes the liquid inside it around a few times before taking a drink. "So, you seem to be doing pretty well for yourself."

"Yeah, it's fun to have this much power. I just hope that my worm doesn't make me turn on my allies because it wants more power."
