Ibn Ishaq: 992 – “Fight everyone in the way of Allah and kill those who disbelieve in Allah.” Ibn Ishaq: 327 – “Allah said, ‘A prophet must slaughter before collecting captives. A slaughtered enemy is driven from the land. Muhammad, you craved the desires of this world, its goods and the ransom captives would bring. But Allah desires killing them to manifest the religion.’” Quran (3:56) – “As to those who reject faith, I will punish them with terrible agony in this world and in the Hereafter, nor will they have anyone to help.” Quran (8:12) – “I will cast terror into the hearts of those who disbelieve. Therefore strike off their heads and strike off every fingertip of them”

  • You did exactly what I just described, picking and choosing quotes to fit your argument without looking into its context.

  • So the quran justifies these quotes?

  • Did you happen to get these quotes from "thereligionofpeace.com" if so it's invalid if not you have to read the quotes in its context for e.g. Actually read before and after the quotes and understand what it's referring to instead of being lazy and throwing pick and choose quotes at me leaving me to explain all of it to someone who is to -blam!-ing lazy to research and educate themselves.

  • I didn't use that site. Those phrases are easy to understand so don't say that people think of them out of context.

  • It's like I'm talking to a brick wall, you have to read the quotes mentioned before and after said quote to understand it's context, also link the website when you quote something.

  • Just a helpful thought, but take the bible and do the same thing. The Qu'ran's context with these quotes still justifies the murders. While the biblical context does the opposite. Just something to compare it too before you ask me where the fûck I got all this from.

  • No it does not justify the murders as in the Quran it says taking 1 life is like nurse ring all of human kind

@Crazy You are taking it out of context as well. Quran 5:33 (the verse right after the one you qouted) says: "Indeed, the penalty for those who wage war against Allah and His Messenger and strive upon earth [to cause] corruption is none but that they be killed or crucified or that their hands and feet be cut off from opposite sides or that they be exiled from the land. That is for them a disgrace in this world; and for them in the Hereafter is a great punishment," (other translations call it mischief or evil-doers). There are verses that specify those who are "striving to cause corruption" which means all non muslims. ( http://corpus.quran.com/translation.jsp?chapter=5&verse=64 )
