How do I level up faster? All my friends are in the 30's-40's and I feel like I put in a shit-ton of time but I'm only level 11 :(

High intelligence, getting a companion to max then sleeping with them gives you an extra 14% I think. Upgrading damage to get through quests faster and not searching every container helps (it's just not in my nature).

Edited by thefourfoldroot: 11/23/2015 7:54:58 AMBecause it triples the time you would ordinarily spend questing for financial but no XP advantage (once you build your base you won't really need an external money supply anyway). Don't get me wrong, I'm compulsive and search everything I come across, but the question was how to level up quicker and getting through quests fast is the best way to do that ultimately.

Sleep in your bed than go craft a bunch of stuff. You can level pretty quick just doing this
Sleep in your bed than go craft a bunch of stuff. You can level pretty quick just doing this
Perhaps not if you add on the time it takes to collect all the junk mid quest. I think just getting through the quests fast (sleeping when you can sling the way) levels you faster.

Edited by The Cyndaquil: 11/22/2015 7:09:51 PMMake sure to put on clothing that boosts Intelligence before completing any quest. I can make my Intelligence 15.

Also, take note of exp boosts. Sleep in a bed, for instance, for a rather lengthy exp boost.

Cool thanks.

Grab the Learning Curve Quest from Proctor Quinlan from Brotherhood of Steel. Have a high powered sniper that does good damage. Once you except the quest run out to the ships dock all the way to the back there is a platform to the left. Hide behind the barrels, you need to make sure your hidden or the BoS will kill you. Aim your sniper by where the BoS guards are (not on the ship but below it) there is a scribe you kill. Once you kill the scribe run back to Quinlan and say you failed the quest and want another chance. Gives you 400 exp each time and you can level your self about 5 levels in an hour which is pretty damn good. There is a video on YouTube if my description was bad.

Awesome.

There's 2 quests named Cleanse the Commonwealth and Quartermastry, they're repeatable and give about 200-300 XP a pop and just involve killing enemies at certain locations, they're for the brotherhood of steel, once you've joined, just google the police station they're located in and do the starting quest to unlock them. Just repeat those 2 quests and you'll get plenty of XP and goodies. Remember to have Idiot Savant unlocked whenever you can, because that perk is a god send, even at 11 INT
-
Does idiot savant make your speech retarded? Or is it just a sly exp boost?
-
It just plays a silly noise when it procs and grants x3 or x5 exp for that action, it doesn't alter your character at all
-
Okay cool.
-
It randomly will multiply the experience gained. But it does play a pretty stupid sound.

Higher Intelligence helps. And no, that's not a personal insult.
