Remember the victims of all violence. Its not important to be a special snowflake case, because it will mean less.
Yes that's true, does that also mean we can't remember and mourn people that were similar to us on a day we set aside? This is NOT about being special, its remembering people who have died that we share a connection with.

I just think specialized days are stupid.
I just think specialized days are stupid.
OK? It's not like its effecting you in any way. Sorry you think showing dead people respect is stupid. It's not like its trans celebration day where everyone is required to say how great we are. It's just a day to remember simple as that. According to that logic veterans day is stupid, considering its a day set aside for veterans. Why not everyone? Because it's easy to set one day aside out of the year to make these memorial services that's why.

You compare Trans to veterans? It really is a mental illness I guess.
-
When did I do that? Did I say trans people deserve just as much as as veterans? Or did I simply state a group that has its own day, something he said he didn't like? That's the only comparison I made, anything else was made up by you. The two groups have days of remembrance. One is a national holiday as it should be, the other is something you've probably never even heard of until now. They aren't the same and I'm not claiming they are the same. And that little quip and the end was uncalled for it just shows your inability to even make an actual productive post.

This would be more like "Air Force veterans day" Its unnessecary when you could do a Veterans' Day. It devalues the non-air force veterans while at the same time making itself less important because there would inevitably be an Army, Navy, Coast Guard veteran's days.

So basically the implication is that there should just be a lgbt day instead of separate ones? That's a problem because the T has been forgotten and shoved out of the way until recently. And the T is an entirely different thing compared to the lgb. And as I told someone else, the only true reason they have a day is logistics. It's easier to have a day set every year to plan memorial services. It's not like its a trans pride day, its just a day the community set aside to remember their loved ones. Im sure you didn't even know this was a thing till today, its been going on since 1999 and only now gets attention, because trans people are getting attention.
