True. But I doubt everyone would want to participate in remembering everyday.
As for my previous point, it's basic psychology that repeating something too often makes it at least feel redundant.

I do understand what you are saying, but it seems to me that many of these "holidays" are just to make people feel like special snowflakes. It divides, and our nation doesn't need division.

Only Americans call them holidays. I don't know why. You don't get time off. As for celebrating variety promoting division, maybe people should celebrate their uniqueness rather than vilify their differences.

No. I once read (I for the life of me can't remember where) that our diversity is really the main thing we have in common. In other words we are more different than alike. I just don't see a reason in pointing out our differences in villainy or celebration. Again it divides us.
