Honestly how will a new player who has only owned the game for 7 days going to know to ask for assistance.
Not to mention everyone who is already playing has convinced their friends they should play too.
its a little late after ttk release to invite your friends..... i dont think bungie thought this one through.

I hear you there. They should have done this right before taken king came out when there was that influx of takentots. I mostly see people running around with grimoire lower than 2500, and wish that we could have had this feature earlier, and with in game advertisment.

oh me too. but there's literally thousands of veteran guardians to every 1 newbie. its a kick in the teeth for those of us that have been playing for a while.

There are a few squeakers who will get it for Christmas though, sadly that's probably 90% of the few new players

no kidding! this should have been in place right before TTK was released. to help "veteran" players encourage their friends and give newbies a way to connect and jump into year 2. two months after the release is eons in video game reality. especially when competing with fallout and halo
