I haven't got a problem with Iron Banner dropping high end gear, seeing as the only other alternatives are the hard raid, Trials and hope you get super lucky in Nightfall, it's good to have another option, plus it gives extra incentive to actually grind it out, it's supposed to be a special event after all.
