Looking at the PS4 trophy stats, 20% have competed The Taken King and 8% have completed King's Fall on normal. Only the most dedicated Guardians are still playing Destiny. They deserve every 310+ drop.

I deserved none of it... I mean wow... they "deserve" it. That's like saying that a part time McDonald's cashier "deserves" $100k a year in salary just because they show up.

Seriously? How is expecting high salary for little work the same as expecting a reasonable return on time invested in a game you pay repeatedly to play? Destiny is a game, not a job.
