Destiny really isn't an MMO despite what people want it to be. And I think it's fine that iron banner drops high light items. I ran the raid and got boots and a hand cannon I deleted. I ran iron banner and got a 317 weapon. A 318 ghost and a 308 armour chest piece. I liked the raid I just don't know many people who play it. It's not like the VoG days when everyone was one. Hardly anyone plays this raid. I had fun and I ft good rewards from iron banner. That's what matters.
