Mlg was simply they did not want an off game league or tournament environment. They wanted to do something new, which is effectively trials of osiris...thats it, that is there vision of true comp pvp....shame it lacks things like dedis, custom rulesets, proper matchmaking... The clan setup is a joke in this game...I played killzone before destiny which has clan matches...that is what I wanted for destiny, hence I stopped playing the trash pvp
