Korvic shade stepped out of the way of the Wizards' attacks, then pulled up his sniper rifle and fired into the crowd. The damage from the sniper shots was spread throughout the tether, and each enemy that fell exploded in a burst of void light.

Everything died. A low rumble shook the room, and a burst of green light pulsed from the Time Gate. [b]You're too late... they've brought something back from the dead.. [/b]

Korvic fed a fresh magazine into his rifle and chambered a round, ready to face whatever would come out of the gate.

He could hear a whisper. [i]Crota...[/i] A hand reached out of the gate. [b]Destroy the gate! Whatever it is, you couldn't possibly face it...[/b]

"Son of a..." Korvic quickly fired off his rifle at the vex gate, trying to destroy it before a Crota could escape.

It's other hand came through and the gate stayed in it's place. [b]Blow it up, or something. don't let it through![/b]

Korvic made a dash for the vex gate and started planting every grenade, rocket, and explosive ammunition he had on hand.

Crota started pulling himself through the Gate.

Korvic finished wiring up the explosives to a jury rigged detonator and backed off to a safe distance.

Crota's head came through and he roared.

Korvic smirked as he armed the detonator with a flick of the thumb. Several red lights went on, indicating the explosives were active. "Get. -blam!-ing. Dunked on." He hit the detonator.

The gate was destroyed. And collapsed immediately. Crota's head and arms were cut off when it closed, and disappeared. [b]Whatever you just did, that thing.. went away. The Vex may not know it yet, but you just saved them. They won't spare the City. They won't thank you. But that's the thing about the Light. You never know where it'll shine.[/b]

He laughed, then almost fell over as he sat down on the floor, exhausted. "Hoo.... Hehe... Can't believe that worked...."
