Me, a boyfriend and Refer-a-Friend

So i've been playing Destiny since May on the PlayStation 4 while my boyfriend has been playing since about July on the Xbox One. Upon seeing the Legendary Edition we instantly agreed that he would buy it and get a PlayStation so we could play together. However, he bought the Legendary Edition before September 15th for the pre-order bonus but is not getting a PS4 until Christmas. I've looked on the FAQ but i don't know if my boyfriend will still be eligible for Refer-a-Friend when he finally installs Destiny on his PS4 or if it will recognise he's owned the game for 3 months.

 • Hello WuffyWuff, If your boyfriend played Destiny: The Taken King, at anytime, prior to November 18, 2015, in any capacity, on the PlayStation 3 or 4, he would not be eligible to participate in Refer-a-Friend as a Referee. To qualify as a Referee in Refer-a-Friend, the Referee cannot have played Destiny: The Taken King for longer 7 days ago. So, if he played Destiny: The Taken King, via the Legendary Edition (or any addition) on a PlayStation 3 OR played TTK on the PlayStation 4, via game sharing, then he is not eligible as a Referee. I hope this answer your question(s).
