In honesty Ive not done the raid yet and did iron banner. I can make 307 light now. My reason is that raid takes time to learn and I've already got fair knowledge about pvp. That and time. Not that I didn't grind IB because I did but the fundamental difference is that I could pop in and out of pvp. That's something a raid doesn't allow for. To prepare for raid I need to be able to sit down unmoving for at least 2 hours n that's what puts me off raid. IB was perfect if my diner was ready of I went ate my scran and returned to IB. My biggest problem with raid is that I have to be committed to it. I can't just up and leave when I get visitors or food. I don't want to let my team mates down by leaving a hole in there fire team. So I'll hold out n get as high as I can so raiding check point at a time won't be so time consuming. Thanks to iron banner this is a goal I can reach..
I'd like to add that I do enjoy a challenge. I will be doing raids but on my own terms and my own fire team. The challenge of the game doesn't put me off, I'm highly competitive. But "and im not wining, as it is what it is." To grind like I did for bungie to make all my gear irrelevant makes me not so keen to bother. And I'm not alone.
