You're literally paying real life money for your character to do a 2-10 second action. You cannot justify this. You can make excuses and I'll post your excuses for being a child using their parents credit card below. When you pay for emotes you are showing AAA companies that they can take stuff out of their game that better games give for FREE and sell it. I understand the type of audience who buys silver....and that audience is classified as the casual gamer. Not real gamers.
I love how I make a spelling mistake because I'm human and since you guys have no real valid arguments to make you choose 1 grammatical error. Only proves my point that you don't know how to spend money wisely.
Excuse #1: It's my money.
Excuse #2: I make (put exaggerated amount of money made per year here) and I can afford it.
Excuse #3: Don't worry about my money! (They know they're wrong and are trying SO HARD to justify something that just isn't justifiable).
Almost 50 replies and only 3 poor excuses have been made. Proving my point again....
I think you guys have tired yourself out. I just had to sit through the snot nosed kids coming in trying to justify purchases for EMOTES...I legit think I have cancer now. Thanks Density.
To the kids who think that I'm poor...I make well over 250k a year. Money aint nutin. Because I know you guys still can't come up with any good logical reasons as to why you pay for emotes other than you like Bungie screwing you over. Still waiting on that person but I'm starting to lose hope that there will be someone who can explain it logically.
SOMEONE FOUND A LOGICAL REASON TO GET AN EMOTE!
Because Microsoft paid for it by giving me codes worth $5-$10
You guys disagreeing with facts have produced more salt than every single salt factory in the galaxiez.

Oh I'm sorry I didn't realize I was in the Supreme Freaking Court here. Should I have my lawyer present for my freaking trial?

Your mother buy dildos... People buy emotes.. So??
-
I will never understand why some people care about what others spend their money on.
-
Any dlc or extra content you've ever paid real life money is the same thing, don't be a hypocrite.
-
Without so called "casual" gamers, otherwise known as gamers or, 99% of the gaming community, losers like yourself wouldn't have games to piss your life away with. Only immature virgins and basement dwelling dweebs complain about casuals.
-
I bought them cause I can.
-
If you make 250k a year, who pays you to be so stupid?
-
Another moron muted.
-
"Money aint nutin. " this tells me the 250K is utter bullshit

Edited by wzrrd: 11/26/2015 7:49:05 AMLol, Ok what about the adults buying emotes? I for 1 haven't bought any. It's a goddamned waste
-
If I spend 5$ on the Carlton dance and it lasts for 2 seconds, I would have to use it 150 times to make it a dollar a minute. It's worth more to me than a dollar a minute, and I will definitely use it more than 150 times.

You basically are saying that the animators who make those emotes and the devs in the game who are underpaid dont deserve our money. Ive gotten much more out of destiny than any other game ive bought in the last decade. Its probably cost be 1 penny per hour. I gladly support the game and devs by purchasing emotes and I am happy to continue to do it. You sound like people who pirate software or music who say "oh well i wouldnt have bought that album or software anyway". Stop being cheap.
-
You make over 250k? Why destiny forums for entertainment? I mean seriously
-
Bought it for no reason, gg
-
I thought the sell of emotes paid for the dlc's ... But as someone who fights for USA freedom I feel like it's only logical they spend there money on whatever Crap they want. Buying and emote or buying an expansion or the game I sure you could find something more logical than spend it on games... A savings bond that's logical probably one of the most logical things you can do with your extra money right or the stock market?

28 year old hardcore gamer here who spends time playing pretty much every AAA release and niche titles. I've spent additional money on other games aside from Destiny as the content wouldn't be available otherwise and unfortunately if I don't buy it, people with big disposable incomes will. It'll never be free for that reason. Is it wrong? Yes. I'd rather unlock these things through quests or challenges within the game itself. But it's not going to happen because this game is a complete failure, which is why I haven't played in almost a month, and is basically a cash grab which I don't want to be part of.
-
Awesome, I'll just keep throwing money at my screen. Only emote I truly want is Caramelledansen.
-
Sorry man, it's my money, I make 100k a year and why do you even care about my money? Oh, and Bungie gave everyone some starting silver, so it's almost 95% likely that someone has a premium emote... Moron.
-
It's incredibly likely here that you're the salty child. You've paid for this game and it's DLCs with your "money aint nuttin" stupid attitude. So perhaps you take a step back and look at the bigger picture. Also, I'm not a child. And I doubt that most of the people are. If you're going to get salty about cosmetics, go play WoW or LoL and come back crying.

You were that kid who always blended rules in your favor on the playground
-
Love this. Can you make one for adults that buy emotes as this is invalid.

This account has not played Destiny. Opinion is void.

I do with my money what I want, if you don't have extra cash left to make your hobby nicer, not my problem. I earn my fûcking money, I spend my fûcking money and the way I want. Period.

Edited by DevGEM: 11/26/2015 7:37:17 AMPeople throw money at casinos and scratch off cards. What's your point again? And you're sure trying hard to defend your idiotic statement with that giant wall of text. Is it there to shield your insecurities?
