You're literally paying real life money for your character to do a 2-10 second action. You cannot justify this. You can make excuses and I'll post your excuses for being a child using their parents credit card below. When you pay for emotes you are showing AAA companies that they can take stuff out of their game that better games give for FREE and sell it. I understand the type of audience who buys silver....and that audience is classified as the casual gamer. Not real gamers.
I love how I make a spelling mistake because I'm human and since you guys have no real valid arguments to make you choose 1 grammatical error. Only proves my point that you don't know how to spend money wisely.
Excuse #1: It's my money.
Excuse #2: I make (put exaggerated amount of money made per year here) and I can afford it.
Excuse #3: Don't worry about my money! (They know they're wrong and are trying SO HARD to justify something that just isn't justifiable).
Almost 50 replies and only 3 poor excuses have been made. Proving my point again....
I think you guys have tired yourself out. I just had to sit through the snot nosed kids coming in trying to justify purchases for EMOTES...I legit think I have cancer now. Thanks Density.
To the kids who think that I'm poor...I make well over 250k a year. Money aint nutin. Because I know you guys still can't come up with any good logical reasons as to why you pay for emotes other than you like Bungie screwing you over. Still waiting on that person but I'm starting to lose hope that there will be someone who can explain it logically.
SOMEONE FOUND A LOGICAL REASON TO GET AN EMOTE!
Because Microsoft paid for it by giving me codes worth $5-$10
You guys disagreeing with facts have produced more salt than every single salt factory in the galaxiez.

"This Account has not played destiny"....
-
But it's okay for adults?
-
I'm fifteen and I bought the Thriller emote the first day of the Festival. I didn't use my parents credit card, I used my debit card. And no, my parents don't feed me money either, I had a part time job at Publix over the summer. And yes, it's just a twenty second dance, but I love Destiny. I've been here since the First Look Alpha, and I'll still be here when I'm twenty-four.

Why do you care what other people do with there money? It's helping the company improve. OP: WHY DID YOU BUY SOMETHING FROM A "AAA" COMPANY?!?! In IRL OH MY GOSH WHY DID YOU BUY FOOD FROM THE STORE!!!! YOU COULD HAVE HUNTED & GATHERED IT YOURSELF!!!!! I think buying emotes is stupid but your point makes no sense.
-
This is how you justify spending half an hour typing this shit post up?

Edited by Elite 529: 11/26/2015 5:39:54 AMBecause I can do what I want with my money. I didn't pay for mine though. I got about $15 from bing rewards.
-
I spent my own money, because I can. Don't want them?
Then Don't Blimmin Buy Them! I don't give a damn if you think we shouldn't spend OUR OWN money!

Have a nice day :)
I absolutely agree with you, all these kids that buy emotes are stupid and need to learn a lesson about the real world
but it's ok when adults do it
-
I'll do it because I ain't broke.
-
I find it even more childish that you have to bash people for using their own money. Lmao. Also I like the b8 about how you talk about exaggerated income and begin to explain how you make 250k a year.
-
Casan0vaR0deo Taunts Dr Right

Bc using money to lottery tickets is a lot smarter than buying an emote.
-
Lmao. 250k a year and you come here to call us children for buying emotes. #richpeopleproblems
-
I bought some silver for the taunt. It lasts roughly 5 seconds. I've used it pretty much in most crucible matches I've been in and I got it when they came out. Probly put a few good hours into that emote so for a few "enter currency here" I'd say it's worth it considering I will keep using it.

F-U *zombie dances away*

lol someone's mommy said no......

Greedy corporations have always been milking for a long time. You're fighting a up hill battle. Who cares it's not your money anyways. I know it will hurt you in the long run. So just quit. Lol addiction is hard to kick though.

Edited by Andrenden: 11/26/2015 5:07:38 AMI have more disposable income than you, in an attempt to create balance I buy emotes to put us in the same living bracket. This works on the assumption you don't care about emotes of course.
-
You're fighting a losing battle. All of these people have it backwards. They're paying for emotes, hoping to get free, good DLC, rather than paying for good DLC and hoping for some free emotes.
-
Edited by Derpish: 11/26/2015 5:05:18 AMI'm 18, and so I am allowed to spend my money as I see fit. You can have as many problems with that as you want. The more, the merrier. Nobody asked for your opinion, and if I wanted it, I'd give it to you.

I had a spare 5$ in my account... Grand Poobah calls SAFE!

Considering this game has little to no social features why not spend some pocket change so my character can do a popular 80's dance? Its like me telling you not to buy clothes because the money you spend goes towards the guy running a Chinese sweatshop full of stolen children.
-
Hmmm. I'm pretty sure that people have the freedom to pay for whatever they want with their money. It doesn't really matter if you disagree with their purchases because you don't control what they do with their money. So you can complain all you want, get offended at other people's purchases all you want, and post things like this all you want, but that doesn't change the fact that this is the Internet and no one cares about or has to listen to your opinion on how they should spend their money

If you make what you claim then you should understand discretionary income. Why go to the movies? Why have an internet subscription? Why have a cell phone? These are luxury items you're wasting money on. Sure business justifications can be made for some things but aren't they just excuses for convenience sake? If players like an item they'll pay for it. Youre not winning any hearts and minds with this post. You're tilting at windmills.
