Anyone have time to introduce new raider to Raiding?

I've never done any of the raids before, save today I have only played Vault of Glass once. I think I'm a little confused on how raids work, so is there anyone that might be able to guide me through how a raid works? Thank you!

also nobody will help you till youre at least the level of the raid.... 28 vog. 30 fot Crota.. and 40 with light level 280 for oryx.. so chill them boots gaurdian there's loads for you to do
