Is this a serious question, no offence but shotguns are the easy button of Destiny, they should have never made it into the game, least of all at the power they have, they are ridiculously easy, skilless guns to use. Snipers on the other hand you have to actually aim the gun and not shoot in a general direction and get an easy kill, sniping takes skill shotguns do not.
