Here's a few tips:
-try to opt out of 3rd at Paris island. They have dirt for running and not a track
-GET YOUR ACTUAL SIZE when picking up clothing and gear. It's a nightmare to get anything changed
-Write your name on your shit ASAP.
-When you get on line....STFU
-Do not eat a big breakfast until week 3+
-Don't go nuts when you get homesick. It'll be over soon.

I was in 3rd at Parris Island in 2000. At that time, we held all the records, highest pft, best drill, etc... I'm sure things have changed a lot...

Or what platoon I should say

What months?
-
2000 - May to July I'd have to dig through old letters to remember anymore than that. Boot camp is special. You think it sucks while your there but they will be your most treasured memories. Getting your EGA after the crucible was an amazing feeling of accomplishment.

I just missed your date range by like 10 days. That's crazy. Was hot as crap black flag every day.... I saw some one get the silver bullet. Haha
-
Heard stories about that all the time. I had no problems drinking 3 gallons of water a day to avoid that thing.
-
I was Army but I got the silver bullet once. Not for dehydration though. Overhydration. Didn't even know that was a thing lol
-
Haha yep

If you were there at the same time, I'll dig up that info to see. How rad would that be if we were there at the same time.
