Breaking Benjamin frontman Benjamin Burnley is again talking about how much he hates Star Wars Battlefront. In case you missed it, he recently destroyed a copy of the "piece of sh*t" game after he was asked to talk positively about it on his social media channels.
Recap of events:
EA asked Burnley to talk positively about Battlefront and offered compensation. After playing Battlefront, he snapped the disc and called it "shit".
As to why he thinks this way:
poor spawn placement, overpowered weapons, a lack of a rewards system, bad hit-detection, and Hero/Villain gameplay that is no fun.
"It's just not fun," he says about the overall Battlefront experience.
Discussion:
Before I address his actual complaints, I'm going to discredit his opinion a bit because it seems like he says the game is bad because he's bad at the game. Before you proclaim me a fanboy, please consider the previous statement:
"All online games suck in their own kind of way...."
What I pull from this comment is that he is a primarily a PvE oriented player and thus doesn't enjoy or is experienced in PvP oriented games, thus is experience was hindered, which is why I don't take stock in his opinion.
Now as for his comments, he's right. The spawns are piss poor. I often spawn into bad situations, being killed immediately or having to fight for my life.
Additionally, yes, the DL-44 (I think it's called), is overpowered. But it's not so overpowered, that it ruins the experience, simply a minor annoyance that should be fixed.
His comments about the Heros, in my opinion, is wrong. Both in looks, feel and gameplay, each Hero feels distinct and like their real life counterpart.
The hit detection is again, wrong. I've encountered no such problems when firing or being shot at. The travel time makes hit detection more accurate.
Conclusion
Ultimately, I think this was a gaudy, unprofessional, and childish stunt. However, he does make a few (two) good points in the problems of STWBF. Personally, I think there is one underlying problem with the game.
Lack of content
What about you? What do you think about Star Wars Battlefront? Do you agree more with me or Burnley?
Edit1:
For people saying that EA is wrong for this actions, I'm not disagreeing with you, but I will direct your attention to Ludacris and Black Ops 3...as seen here.

However, Luda just took the money and ran instead of snapping the disc and pointing out the (many) errors in the game. My point is, that this isn't an action exclusive to EA, most companies do this.
