So I built a settlement in sanctuary and I don't like it and want to start a new game lol. Is there a settlement that's optimal? I really like castle once I saw it but I put so many resources into sanctuary. Are there other areas that have anything else cool to them?

I like the drive in. I started there. But then found the castle.... Gotta start all again now on another one! I kinda just wish I had one or two. But I guess later on I'll be glad there are plenty more to mess with.

Yea that was my problem. I kinda want to just find a place to hold all my stuff until I find one I really like. I'm going to start a brand new game haha

Get local leader perk so you can set up supply lines between settlements so you can share resources between them. Spectacle island is probably the best settlement it is the island behind castle, you unlock it by activating the switch on the boat and you have to fight off a few mirelurks and then search the workbench.

Do the supply lines run between all settlements or a limited number? Where is this boat and switch?

With the supply lines perk you can go to a settlement you own and, in workshop mode, select someone to caravan between that settlement and another. Doing this with enough people will allow all workbench resources to be shared between all settlements. Even better, all you have to do is 'spiderweb' your supply lines, sanctuary doesn't need a direct link to abernathy farm if they're both linked to the red rocket gas station.

If you have a settlement with all of your supplies you can assign people to make a supply line to a different settlement and so on. The wire should be running from a shack and leads to a boat with a switch inside of it. Hope this helps, let me know if your having problems with it.

Thanks for the advice! Just to clarify this other settlement is behind the Minutemen castle?

An easy way to move stuff from 1 settlement to another is grab everything from the workbench then drop on the ground. Make a companion pick it all up because that way there is no limit to what they can hold.
