I completed the main story a while ago with the Brotherhood ending. Can you kill maxim afterwards? Because I want that laser minigun and the game won't let me kill him. I don't care if I betray the brotherhood to be honest.

At certain places in the wasteland you can have random encounters, some of which are leveled. Sometime between lvls 30 and 39 (i think i was lvl 35) i walked to the collapsed house just north of the corvega factory to discover some dude (can't remember his name) had taken up residence there and attacked me with a gatling laser. However, his spawn location could vary from playthrough to playthrough, so he might not spawn there for you. And just be aware, laser gatlings run on fusion cores so you'll want a large supply of those to run a laser gatling [i]and[/i] your power armour.
