What needs more skill in PVP!? Sniper or Shotgun? Just curious to see what majority of the forum users believe takes more skill. I am not talking about any other game, so please don't compare to anything else (BO3, Halo, etc) Feel free to express your opinion why sniping/shotgun take more skill. Happy trials folks! **Btw if yall could bump or like the post so more people get to see it* would be greatly appreciated!**
snipers all day
Edit: Thanks for everyone's input! As many have said it really takes no skill for either weapon if your are just camping a lane/door**

 • In all honesty, this just turns into a secondary war at this point. Shotgunners complain and call snipers out on camping and aiming down one sight line and never moving the whole game. That is entirely obnoxious and I had to deal with it a bunch in Iron Banner and some Trials teams. Snipers complain and call Shotgunners out on blink shotgun and being able to map you with a shotgun. I voted snipers mostly because of the way I play. I'm not a "sit in one spot and never move" sniper. I actually move around the map to challenge people. I'll admit though, a majority of my kills come from my sniper every game, but that's because I find it far easier for me to distance myself and put in a well timed headshot on someone. This is tougher to do because people rarely stay still in this game so you have to hit a moving target which can be pretty difficult. I have used shotguns before though, particularly the Felwinter's Lie archetype, and find them very easy to get kills with. I remember when that gun first came out, my friend got shot package and kneepads and I kept hearing him freak out at the range he was killing people from. When I got my hands on it too, and started witnessing everyone else with it, I knew crucible wasn't gonna be fun for long. It just seemed so effortless for me to just run up to someone and go "left trigger, right trigger". I think that both of them have their skill gaps, and require some amount of skill to them regardless of the whole aim assist controversy and stuff like that. I would like to, however, put the blame on Bungie for these arguments on the forums because they took out the big maps from regular crucible. Unless you're an avid combined arms player, which on comes out like once a month or something, when's the last time you've seen First Light, Bastion, or Skyshock? I haven't played those maps in a long time and they're really enjoyable to play on. Bungie took these maps out of the regular rotation because nobody liked them for some reason. This left all the medium and small maps in the normal playlists which catered greatly to shotguns. All of this inevitably led to where we are now. If I were to vote on any secondary though, I'd vote fusion rifles cause they take lots of timing and preparedness. Hopefully those start to make a comeback because they were very fun to use. Year 2 Mythoclast please?
