My body is ready. Why is it that the main forum seems to be full of entitled individuals that expect too much? You probably pre-order games and their expansion packs before the game comes out. I for one was never on the hype train to begin with. Don't let your mind have high expectations, you'll just be let down. What happened to the days when you let your imagination fuel your hype? Is it the same as someone telling you how to react? I give all the credit to the marketing team, but come on. They do that for a reason. What if you lived under a rock until release day? What if you refrained from gaining any knowledge about the game? I asked these questions because of the expectation factor that plays into the hype, but alas the times have changed.
In addition, don't feed into the Destiny content creators that spill their opinions all over you, so form your own! You feed into the "nerf" system. Imagine if players found weapons that work for themselves. This is how I think susceptible viewers form "their opinions" "Oh, he/she is a really good player, and they tell me to use X gun to git gud" But wait, there's more! There is no more.
I bought the initial game as is, without the expansion packs. Tried it out and fell for the trap that Bungie set for us. Smooth gun play, and a broken loot system is one hell of a combination. I knew that I was going to continue with the game, so I purchased the content on its release day. I just hoped the next content provided more than the last, and it did. I got exactly what I wanted. An expansion of the game. Moar content!! However, there seems to be a recurring theme with Destiny. I'll let you all discuss that in the comments.
I sometimes wish gaming never hit the mainstream. End of rant. ;)
My body is ready.
Is my body ready? Ready, my body is! My ready body is... Body, my is ready!

I find your lack of persuasion disturbing.
-
Yeah! We all need to stop thinking 'lofty!' 😜
-
Didn't read. #Delete Destiny and annoy people on the forums!

-
High expectations will only let you down.

Pink emblem. First sentence 'My body is ready.' Rubbed one out, didn't read the rest. Thanks for this post.

This isn't how satire works.
-
Attempts at satire are bad and you should feel bad
-
you guys still comment on threads like this?
-
No, your ruining my brand! It hurts with my special eyes!
-
Satire? Maybe. I don't even know.

They said that meta was the thing.... I forge my own goddamn meta.

"I'm a salty hunter! I can't seem to think of any other way to oppose sunbreakers other then whining to Bungie that its too overpowered!"

No you can't. However, there is a bunch of little things they could do that would please a big chunk of the player base and they refuse to do it. Easy things. This games two biggest problems are content and Rng. You can't have limited content and the rng stacked on top of that. They run their progression system like an mmo with a fraction of the variety most mmos offer. The way to in the short term fix this to fit the current system is to make old raids relevant, get all the strikes in relevant playlist, bring back every single piece of gear ever sold from any vendor and boom. You got a temporarily appeased community. You then make new content with a bigger bang for our buck and you watch the variety explode. This current system isn't sustainable and is pushing people away.

Most people who are happy with the game are in the game right now, not complaining. But the complainers are the ones often to post and then the forums become saturated with more complaints and complaints, which makes it seem like people aren't happy with the game. I know the game isn't perfect, but it's far from being the worse game on the planet. ~TheGreatNike

All the complainers have played the game for weeks and weeks. Hypocrites. All of them.
-
One game to please them all, one game to find them, one game to bring them all and in the darkness nerf them...
-
I think maybe your expecting too much as well... The Destiny forum is where bored guardians come to play, and frustrated guardians to vent...

Edited by Kage Goomba: 11/29/2015 7:01:24 PMThe contradiction retardnation is strong with this one. You can't just show up and bitch up a storm and then act all innocent/claim ignorance when its obvious you have prejudged this game from the get go then lecture us on being "dumb sheep" from the get go. In short - you're nuttier than 3 month old fruit cake. Get off your high horse and recognize the fact that the problem is you Mr "Holier than thou hypocrite" EDIT: OP and I hashed it out...I challenged him to link his account - he did. - Now he understands where I'm coming from - I'm keeping an open mind on this subject as such. Bottom line - I told him to stop sitting on the fence and pick a side - either you hate the game or you don't...but don't preach about how we should treat it when you don't pick a side in the first place. (Not that I'm supporting his stance in either case, but at least he's willing to take the time to think about it- which is more than I can say for most people who spit on the boards)

"My body is ready." "Why is it that the main forum is full of entitled individuals that expect too much?" Two statements, both back to back, both at the top of the topic. You're a hypocrite.

It's not hard to realize that.
