Several centuries ago
Large, orange ships hovered over the young civilization, Greece. The naive people gazed up in wonder, their gods had come. A small army led by two, tall figures magically appeared! Their silhouette revealed one floating in mid air and the other wielded a large sword. Just seeing the figures struck fear in the humans as if it was a curse cast by them.
The, quite young, twins' reign was of fear and fire. The people of Greece gave offerings and they gave the figures names like Phobos and Hades. The twins did not like their names, so they named themselves. The wizard changed her name to Fotiá, but the brother kept his name, he just couldn't say it. He became Fóvos. Fóvos Prince of Fear and Fotiá Dutchess of Kólasi. Years of ruling the humans passed. The twins boarded their ships, which served as their temple, and left. The young humans of Earth watched the ship turn to nothing but another star in the sky.
Present day
Fóvos sat crooked on his throne. One hand was propped on his raised knee. His other hand, which was holding his sword, hung over the arm rest. He repeatedly raised and dropped his sword, which caused a thundering echo in the realm, it also sharpened a point on his sword as it collided with the ground. His robes flowed as heat waves rose from the magma floors around his throne.
An acolyte, with two knights, walked up to the Hive prince, trying to avoid the lava. It spoke softly in their tongue. "Your Highness. I bring news of kingship."
Fóvos sat forward. "What?!"
"King, Taken King, Oryx has fallen, killed by guardians' hands. Alak-Hul Darkblade has been slayed as well."
"My.. predecessors have fallen? The throne for Krill king is open? I will show all my strength and take the throne for meself!"
A torrent of fire spun beside Fóvos. He had no concern as he watched. A tall wizard appeared. Her ragged cloth caught fire on demand.
The two knights raised their swords, then shoved them on the ground. "Dutchess!"
The wizard looked to Fóvos as she floated around. "For us, brother!" her voice slithered with anger.
"Right, my sister Fotiá. For.. us." Fóvos did not appreciate her correction.
Fotiá crossed her arms in disgust. Fóvos looked to the acolyte.
"Continue!" he said threatening.
"There is one issue, your Highness."
Fóvos raised his sword and pointed it at the acolyte's throat. "What issue?!"
"Oryx had the largest personal army. The Taken, which still rome the realms . The problem is, the Taken do not retreat, do not rot, they must burn!" the acolyte tilted his head away from the unusually sharp sword.
Fóvos lowered his sword and dragged it across the ground, sharpening the blade. "We must wipe out the Taken to assume dominance?" Fóvos placed his hand on his chin.
He looked to Fotiá, who was staring at him. She looked to the knights. "Call forth the Knights of the Shattered Suns!" The Duchess spoke swiftly and softly, yet, just as demanding.
The knights walked off, leaving the acolyte. They met with some wizards to start the summoning. The wizards chanted spells and cast magics into the pool of lava. Swiftly, knights stepped out of the pool. Magma dripped off their helmets, shoulders, and swords! The Shattered Suns were a special operations squad of knights that could make the bravest guardians lose faith in their cause.
The knights lined up waiting for their commander. Almost fifty thousand knights, this was the first wave. They constantly knocked the ground. Dun.. dun.. da dun... Dun.. dun.. da dun... Dun.. dun.. da dun.
Fóvos laughed as he raised his sword into the air. Fotiá spun around into another torrent of fire and vanished. The army marched to the walls of Kólasi. Fotiá was waiting for them. Fóvos jabbed at the crackling, fiery wall, but all his sword did was ricochet off. She cast a spell which dropped a section of the wall.
Fóvos started to walk out of the gate, but Fotiá stopped him. "Brother. You are out there conquering worlds, I stay and guard the realm that none dares assault. It is quite lonely."
"Of course, my sister. I will bring you a gift."
Fóvos looked to the open sky. "Ir Alul-Hade! The Dutchess needs a.. pet!"
A wizard, death singer to be exact, appeared, and bowed to the prince and the dutchess. She waved her hands around, summoning a thrall. The thrall was quivering at the sight of the prince, Prince of Fear. Ir Alul-Hade began to change the thrall into something worse, an ogre. The ogre grew two objects, that resembled bull horns, on the back of its head.
Ir Alul-Hade bowed again. "Cerberus. My gift to you, Dutchess."
Fóvos inspected the ogre. "Not quite worthy of Kólasi." he waved his fingers around, sending a black mist to the ogre's heart.
It reeled back and screamed in fear and pain! Fotiá did the same, but her spell lit the ogre in an infinite blaze! Fóvos had a deep and sinister laugh as he watched the suffering ogre burn forever, never dying.

I loved reading this story but one thing I know that I don't want to happen is for bungie to make another big hive expansion like the taken king I'm starting to get tired of the hive but taken are still cool.
